Everybody goes through phases with their interests in cars. If anyone hasnt noticed I'm going through a phase where 60's American cars are the most amazing thing ever. But there is one car that my love for will never outgrow, I will never grow tired of. And that is the Alfa Romeo 8c. Its just so amazing. So, what car will you, and always have, loved forever?

Maserati Cambiocorsa, I've not been able to get over these since the day they were released. I don't know what it was, but it just lured me in, Ferrari 612 also gave me a special feeling.

The 1990's Mercedes benz SL600.
You can buy a better car than that. It's not the prettiest nor the fastest as well. But by looking at it, it's bings out all my childhood memories.
That SL600 was my first toy. That SL600 is the first car i ever sat on in the autoshow. That SL600 is the prime example of what should i bought and restore one day.
I love that car.

Easily makes 500HP without changing out much or sacrificing any driveability. Great in low-key situations, with a short-throw Getrag 6 speed and loads of low-end torque from the sequential turbos. Comfortable with a beautifully crafted and laid-out interior. Forgiving-enough suspension while having coilovers all around and able to pull .98 G on stock everything. 0-60 in 4.6 stock, under 4 with minor mods and tuning. Over engineered and quality tested. Amazing reliability, incredible sounding and feeling inline six. Amazing highway cruising while being able to be tossed around like a small car. Pop the top off and store it in the hatch. Drop dead gorgeous looks IMO. The list goes on, and on, and on. Now I am ready to be completely attacked for this comment.

True. And at least yours is attainable. :)
![]() 03/05/2014 at 19:39 |

There's some truth to that, but that doesn't characterize true Supra fans IMO. There are too many elements of the car, either in a vacuum or objectively compared to alternatives such as the C5Z, NSX, etc.

I fell in love with the first one I saw, an Oxford White 2003, but Competition Orange would be my pick these days. I will own one eventually.
My whole "top 10" list would be "forever" cars for me though. The Mach is #1, then in no particular order the 1977/78 Trans Am SE, 2011/12 Mustang GT/Boss 302, Ford GT, 1970 Roadrunner, Alfa 105/115 Coupes & Duetto, 1967/68 Mustang GT, AE86, 3rd/4th Gen Camaro Z28, Porsche 964, 2004-06 GTO, and I'm going to stop before I spend all night doing this.

Sorry but I can't choose between Ferrari 288 gto and Ferrari F40. And also Lancia Delta Integrale. The good old 80's! What a decade for a young boy.
![]() 03/05/2014 at 19:50 |

This was tough. I've been into every segment of cars made after 1950 at one time or another and I'm only 23. Cars like the '69 Camaro, E46 M3, and NSX spring to mind. Lately, I've been really into 911 RS's (old or new). If I could have one car to have with me for the rest of my like it would be a Nismo R34 or a 997 GT3 RS. But one car has always put a smile on my face. One car has always been in my top three cars to own before I die. If I could have one fun car for life, I think this would be it:
Lotus Exige S

A guy that lived down the street from my high school girlfriend had a 70's Pantera it was Orange with a huge wing on the back and really wide rear tires, it rumbled and popped as it went down the street. The first time I saw it was life altering, I stood in amazement each time I saw it slowly drive by. It looked just like this except Orange on top.

The Porsche 911. Come on, you can't go wrong with it. But more specifically, the one pictured above, my dad's '76 S. Which ironically, for the past almost three years at this point, has been not so much a car but a collection of parts that has occupied every conceivable part of the garage. Except for where the shell rests in the center of the garage with its new SC flares, replaced windshield cowl/ A-pillars, and repaired its rust spots. It is now fully primed will soon be going to paint!

Thank you buddy, we try :) Tim (srvc adv), the techs, and sales staff at Aston are very good peeps. I've worked at big dealers before and you just don't get that focus to your need like smaller dealerships like us :] Im trying to set up an OPPO meet for all Texas Opponauts at April's Cars and Coffee. Discover Channel and Velocity will be filming. If you're down, consider this a personal invite :]
![]() 03/05/2014 at 21:52 |

Well that's great to hear. Work is always much more enjoyable when you like what you're doing and who you're doing it with.
The meet up sounds amazing. I can't believe Discovery and Velocity are both coming. I'll definitely try to make it with the GT or 12c (the Carrera GT and I don't enjoy long trips together) but I hesitate to commit to anything that far in the future as work sometimes conspires to throw a wrench in my plans.
